Golden Knights Notes Marchessault Theodore Hagg

Golden Knights Notes: Marchessault, Theodore, Hagg

Marchessault making progress in his recovery

Jonathan Marchessault has been skating on his own for the past few weeks and is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Marchessault suffered a lower-body injury in the preseason and missed the first few games of the season.

Coach Bruce Cassidy is encouraged by Marchessault's progress.

"He's looking good," Cassidy said. "He's skating well. He's getting his timing back. We're just going to take it day-by-day with him and make sure he's 100% before we put him in the lineup."

Theodore expected to miss 4-6 weeks

Shea Theodore is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Theodore suffered the injury in the first period of the Golden Knights' game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

Cassidy says Theodore's injury is a big loss for the team.

"He's a big part of our team," Cassidy said. "He's our quarterback on the power play. He's a great skater. He's a good defender. He's going to be a big loss for us."

Hagg placed on injured reserve

Nicolas Hagg has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.

Hagg suffered the injury in the second period of the Golden Knights' game against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

The Golden Knights are now without three of their top defensemen.
