Los Angeles, CA - Pop star Katy Perry has announced her highly anticipated sixth studio album, titled "143." Set for release on September 20, the album's lead single, "Woman's World," will be available tomorrow.
"I'm so excited to share this new album with my fans," said Perry in a statement. "It's very bright, joyful, and fun, and I think it's my best work yet."
Perry has been teasing her new project for months, holding private listening sessions for industry professionals and sharing cryptic social media posts. The album's title, "143," is a reference to the number of days it took Perry to write and record the music.
The announcement of "143" comes as Perry prepares to kick off her Las Vegas residency, "Play," on December 29. The residency will feature 25 performances at the Resorts World Theatre.
Perry's last album, "Smile," was released in August 2020 and peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart. The album featured the singles "Daisies," "Smile," and "Harleys in Hawaii."
