Albania have been drawn in Group B alongside Croatia, Italy and Spain for Euro 2024. It is a tough draw for Albania, who are ranked 66th in the world.

Dream Start for Albania

Despite the tough draw, Albania got off to a dream start at the tournament on Saturday. Nedim Bajrami netted after just 23 seconds, giving Albania the lead against Italy.

Italy Too Strong

However, Italy were too strong for Albania and strolled to their first victory of Euro 2024 without any real further concern. Albania were toothless in attack and were unable to create any clear-cut chances.

Albania will need to improve significantly if they are to have any chance of reaching the knockout stages of Euro 2024. Their next match is against Croatia on Tuesday.
